A Small Stockholm Apartment with a Tiny Green Bedroom
This apartment in Stockholm is only 31 square meters, but it has a comfortable living room, a separate bedroom, and a charming galley kitchen. The apartment is decorated in a green color scheme, with walls in the living room wallpapered and the bedroom painted in a bright green shade.
Behind the bedroom, divided by a glass wall, lies a charming galley kitchen, which you often see in Swedish apartments built during this period. The glass dividing walls and large windows, create a light atmosphere, making the apartment feel spacious and airy.
The living room is pretty spacious for the size of the apartment. The walls are covered with a jade-colored, linen-like wallpaper and one wall is fitted with floor to ceiling bookcases, adding plenty of storage.
The natural green vibe in enhanced by this charming botanical sofa.
The room has a wide window on one side, with room for a dining table underneath. I would have opted for a large table, there is room enough and living small doesn’t mean you have to choose small furniture as well.
A wide opening with a sliding door gives access to the green bedroom. When opened, the apartment is more of a studio, but the room can be closed off for privacy.
The walls in the bedroom are painted in a vibrant green shade from Farrow & Ball.
Large windows (formerly a door, as this used to be a dining room) are fitted in the wall between the bedroom and kitchen, ensuring the kitchen also gets natural light. A tiny shelf has been added to the window, creating a little storage space by the bed.
The kitchen is small and practical, with cabinets on either side and no upper cabinets, creating a more open feeling. The simple white cabinets are paired with leather handles and a wooden countertop.
Classic white subway tiles run up to the ceiling.
There isn’t much storage space in the apartment, but the hallway has built-in floor-to-ceiling wardrobes offering plenty.
