A Calm Gray Color Palette in a Charming Stockholm Apartment
On the second floor of a stylish turn-of-the-century apartment building in Stockholm lies this recently renovated apartment decorated in a calm color palette. The 50-square-meter home features original elements like beautiful wooden floors, skirting boards, ceiling rosettes, window panels, and deep window niches.
The one-bedroom apartment is decorated in a gray color scheme, with both walls and floorboards painted gray. These gray tones are paired with natural materials, adding a warm touch to the interior spaces.

The living room is the heart of the home, with two tall, mullioned windows and window panels that convey light and space to the room. The walls are painted in a soft light gray hue, leaving the top half white, which adds a sense of volume.
The skirting boards and white-painted joinery surround the room, creating a nice contrast against the light grey walls and floorboards.
The bedroom lies in line with the living room but can also be accessed via the hallway. The gray color palette continues in the room, paired with a lovely rug in soft pink and blue tones.
Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes sit in the corner of the room, providing plenty of storage space.
The kitchen is on the other side of the apartment, facing the courtyard. It’s a lovely space with gray mirror cabinet doors topped with a limestone countertop.
A custom-built bench seat is fitted under the window, creating a wonderful breakfast nook or work area. From the window, you have a view of the communal courtyard.
A double row of upper cabinets provide plenty of storage in the small kitchen.
The hall features floor-to-ceiling wardrobes in the same style as the bedroom wardrobes. On the floor lie limestone tiles that also continue into the kitchen.
