The new construction created garden apartments on the ground floors and loft-style homes with high ceilings on the upper floors.

One of the upper-floor duplex apartments has now been put up for sale, so we can take a look inside this light-filled building. The neutral palette of light oak floorboard and white walls draws the eye to the architectural features.

It’s the second time we will tour this beautiful home, and while some elements have stayed the same since it was last put on the market, much of the decorating has changed, so it’s nice to see the difference.

The apartment has an amazing, social layout with a grand open-plan living space with dedicated spaces for lounging, dining, and cooking. What gives this penthouse apartment so much character is the architectural features, like the exposed wooden beams, a brick wall, and a traditional Swedish fireplace.

The historical elements combine perfectly with contemporary material choices, modern colors, and lots of custom-built-in storage space. Large rugs, art, and midcentury furniture pieces add coziness to the attic apartment.

The villa from the 1930s was completely renovated in recent years, blending period features with contemporary elements and tasteful materials, making sure the home can last another 100 years.

It is a unique property with outbuildings and large commercial spaces. It used to be the home of the famous Swedish antique dealer Carsten Cederstrand, and it housed milk, meat, and spice shops before that. But we are focusing on the living spaces of this yellow villa.

The maisonette apartment is located on the top two floors of a 1920s apartment complex in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. The home features cozy spaces with exposed brick walls and warm yellow color accents.

The 65 square meter apartment is divided over two floors. On the lower floor, you can find the kitchen and dining room. And the top floor, with its slanted ceilings, is converted into an open-plan sitting room and bedroom. It’s a unique idea to combine the living room and bedroom is such a way, but the result is charming and inviting.

The bright space can easily accommodate a dining table, so you can use the dining room as a living room.
