There are only a few color pops in the apartment. The door to the bathroom is painted in a deep red shade, and the window seat in the kitchen has a bold red velvet upholstery.

The black and white color scheme continues into the bedroom. Three skylights flood the room with natural light, and a soft gray carpet lies underfoot.

The kitchen and living room are one big open space, but there are nooks that create separate areas. The kitchen is new and features dark oak doors from Lucks By Robo and quartz composite worktops that continue into a kitchen island, which you can see in a later image.

A large table is placed in front of the terrace doors, creating a lovely indoor/outdoor feeling.

Despite the slanted ceilings, the 45 square meter apartment doesn’t feel cramped or uncomfortable. In the living room, the apartment actually has a pretty high ceiling where you can beautifully see the wooden beam structure of the attic.

From the front door, you immediately enter the open plan living room and kitchen. High pitched ceilings and fresh white walls give a bright atmosphere to the room. Two beautiful dormer windows and a skylight provides the room with natural light.

Despite the modest floor plan, the apartment has a fairly big kitchen made from classic style cabinets painted in a muted gray tone. With counterspace on two sides and plenty of cabinets, there is enough space to cook a great meal.

Between the kitchen and the sitting area stands a beautiful vintage wooden table that adds a warm touch to the white and gray space.

Above the dining table hangs the classic Herstal’s Manola chandelier in brass.

The villa from the 1930s was completely renovated in recent years, blending period features with contemporary elements and tasteful materials, making sure the home can last another 100 years.

It is a unique property with outbuildings and large commercial spaces. It used to be the home of the famous Swedish antique dealer Carsten Cederstrand, and it housed milk, meat, and spice shops before that. But we are focusing on the living spaces of this yellow villa.

The living room is a spacious room with large windows that flood the room with light. The walls are painted white but the floorboards make this room pop as they are painted in a bold red shade.

An old shop door from the year the house was built has been installed and separates the living room from the kitchen. It is a nice little nod to the history of the building.

The kitchen blends sleek modern cabinets with historic elements like the gray painted floorboards and a historic William Morris wallpaper (The Brook).

The modern black kitchen cabinets have a durable steel countertop and brass fittings.

The spacious kitchen space has plenty of room for a large dinner table and the door leads out to the outdoor terrace so it’s easy to move the dinner party to the garden.

There is a bathroom on the ground floor with an original built-in bath under the window, storage niches, a classic English-style sink, and walls and floor made of micro cement.

The bedroom on the ground floor is a lovely room for a child with green-painted floorboards and an antique desk.

The glass veranda is turned into a hall with a stone floor and a bench under the window.

The red-painted staircase opens up to the private sitting room on the first floor. The ceiling has been opened up to create more volume and expose the wooden beams.

Sliding doors separate the master bedroom from the living room. Here, the ceiling has also been opened up to create a spectacular bedroom space with a high-pitched ceiling.

The en-suite bathroom has an original built-in bathtub and it is decorated with classic limestone-colored tiles.

The 65 square meter apartment is divided over two floors. On the lower floor, you can find the kitchen and dining room. And the top floor, with its slanted ceilings, is converted into an open-plan sitting room and bedroom. It’s a unique idea to combine the living room and bedroom is such a way, but the result is charming and inviting.

As mentioned, the lower floor has a kitchen and a dining room. This room can easily be a living room with room for a sitting area and a television, as the kitchen is big enough for a dining table.

The light wooden floorboards, gray walls, and white wood panels create a calm and neutral base for the room. It is paired with beautiful midcentury furniture pieces, and a warm yellow color pop in the curtains.

The room has a French balcony offering lovely views of the greenery outside.

One wall, from the lower floor all the way to the attic floor, has been left raw in the apartment. It adds a lovely rustic, industrial touch to the interior spaces, and it pairs well with the wooden floorboards and gray walls.

The kitchen pairs original features from the early 20th century with contemporary design. The room was renovated in 2022, adding a new kitchen from Ballingslöv with gray-green lower cabinets and light brown oak upper cabinets. The bright space can easily accommodate a dining table, so you can use the dining room as a living room.

I love the combination of open and fluted glass upper cabinets. It allows you to display your favorite glasswork and earthware. You create plenty of storage space without adding bulky upper cabinets, making the room feel smaller.

The gray and oak cabinets are paired with black Quartzite stone countertop.

On the left, you can see an original serving cabinet from the 1920s. The old period features and the new kitchen design work perfectly together.

The top floor is turned into a charming and light combined living room and bedroom with large skylights, exposed wooden beams, and the same brick wall as we saw in the dining room.

The color scheme in this room is the same as the rest of the apartment. Gray walls are paired with a light wooden floor and ochre yellow textiles.

In the back, they created a cozy bedroom space with a double bed and a large comfy rug.

The owners partially closed off the bedroom space with a curtain, so the bed isn’t very visible from the sofa and it creates a cozy sleeping nook.

The maisonette apartment has a charming hall with wooden floorboards and brown walls. The room has a built-in wardrobe for shoe and coat storage and a white dresser, adding even more storage space.

An attic apartment can quickly be dark and uncomfortable, but this Swedish apartment is bright and airy thanks to big windows and a high-pitched ceiling with characteristic wooden beams. The two bedrooms are both fitted with built-in wardrobes to maximize the limited floor plan.

Large windows, glass walls, and skylights turn this attic space into a wonderfully light home. The sitting area is both light and cozy, thanks to a large fluffy rug and furniture made of natural materials and natural colors.
