A Grand Historical Swedish Villa with Views of a Royal Castle
Only 10 minutes from central Stockholm, you find yourself in a countryside paradise near the royal palace, Ulriksdal Slot. Here, you can find this magnificent late 19th-century villa, which has been carefully restored by its current owner into a grand and luxurious residential home.
Villa Skogsborg was built in 1877 for the restorer Theodor Blanch according to architectural drawings by Magnus Isæus and is now used as a private permanent residence. The estate-like residence spans in a typical historical style spans 600 square meters and is situated on a raised plot of 8000 square meters.

The villa was originally built as a summer residence (can you imagine?), but it has been lived in all year round since 1919.
The extensive and costly renovation work was intended to restore the villa’s original splendor and design.
The villa features several sitting rooms with ornate decorations, like this painted pink ceiling.
The blue sitting room with its Gothic-style windows features charming murals with birds and plants.
The facade is decorated with extensive hardwood sawmills. The wooden panels are painted dark brown and have yellow and green accents.
The ground features a park-like garden with gravel paths, large grassy areas, and beautiful tall trees.
The villa is listed for sale at Wrede.
